The Diocese of Palmerston North was founded in 1980. Now in our 40th year, we look back with thanks for the good things the Lord has enabled us to do as a diocesan community, and look ahead to dream of what other possibilities God has prepared.

Weekly Update | Friday 19th June 2020

Kia ora koutou!

This issue of Kotahitanga will be the last for a few weeks. There will also be no livestream Mass this week as our parishes can gather for worship without restrictions. Our team is taking some time to pray & prepare for some exciting new work beginning in late July, so this is more of a 'see you later' than a 'goodbye'!

Since this marks an end to a fairly unique time for our diocese and country, this week's email gathers together some of the highlights from the last three months of newsletters. We hope you've enjoyed the celebration, memories and support that this email has offered!

Don't forget to connect with us on Facebook and Instagram for updated information throughout the week, and encourage others to sign up for these updates at www.pndiocese.org.nz/newsletter.

We want your feedback.

Have you enjoyed these weekly emails? Or maybe you have some ideas on how they could be better. We'd love to hear from you! Complete our quick survey and help shape the future of our Diocesan communications.

Our Diocesan Celebrations

Our country was in lockdown, but our faith was still alive! There were hundreds of small celebrations going on in homes, parishes, and other 'bubbles'. These celebrations below are some of the major celebrations that took place in our diocese.

'The Upper Zoom' celebration

People from across our diocese gathered online to sing, pray, and celebrate our faith. Many cultures and languages joined the celebration which was broadcast live on YouTube.

Resources for our parishes & people

Parish Resources from Melbourne Archdiocese

During lockdown we shared a number of resources that had been prepared by Melbourne Archdiocese. Some of our favourites include 'Re-emerging with Purpose' and 'Mission-driven parish'!
